My local Walgreen’s manager is telling me that if I am buying a product that comes with a register rewards I cannot use a manufacturers coupon to purchase that product. Is anyone else having this same problem? He told me that it was a system wide policy. Didn’t make any sense to me. Do you know anything about this?

No – I’ve never heard of such a thing. I did figure out though that you can’t have more coupons than items when you use the register rewards because they count as manufacturer’s coupons when you use them.

Hm…what was the exact transaction you did?? Coupons shouldn’t negate the printing of an RR – unless you use the same RR for the same product…

Hey Lynn –
This is a COMMON misconception but is NOT TRUE. I’ll try to find the exact language on the Walgreens site about this but this is something that happens to couponers from time to time, sadly. UGH!!! The manufacturer’s coupons are reimbursed by the manufacturer. Register Rewards are by Walgreens. They have nothing to do with one another so there is not problem printing RR when you use a manufacturer’s coupon…

Lynn: The first thing I think you should do is tell them you have done this before, and you know it works and is legal. That often is enough for them to realize they don’t know and do it;)

The tone coupon said there are no prints available.

I looked at the Schick Hydro Razor system last week. It isn’t a disposable razor, so you probably won’t be able to use the coupons that specify “disposable.”
