Just two days ago I told you about how Glade consistently delivers tons of free products throughout the year at the drugstores, and here we have a great deal already!
To get make money on your candles at Kmart – do this:
- Buy 2 Glade Fragrance Collection Candles (2 oz.) at $2.50 each
- Use $3/2 Glade Fragrance Collection printable coupon
- Spend $2 + tax
- Receive a $3 coupon printed at the register (called a “catalina”) that you can use on your next purchase.
You can go buy more Glade immediately!
And if you buy at least 3 Glade candles, you can also submit them for a $5 rebate here.
Now do you believe that couponing can *make* you money?

Hello,
I love to save money any chance I get, it gives me a high. However, I seen on GMA( good morning america) how this lady paid only one penny and her grocery bill was $222 or something crazy like that. I knew then I wanted to get good at it but how? I been searching for a money saving club and searching the net but sometimes you really don’t know who is real or not. Until now. I want to know as much as I can about saving and possible making money doing this is definitely a lot of fun. I signed up for your 10 steps 101 coupon classes is that the same as signing up to receive your newsletter? I already tried the homework it was great! One of my concerns about watching people on different tv shows pay only cents on their grocery bills is that, those products have alot of stuff that are not good for us. Meaning, not organic, have high fructose corn syrup, parabens, talc, fragrance, dyes, etc…
Are there coupons for high quality products and still be able to do this? Like I said earlier I did the homework at CVS bought the glade spray even though I don’t use does products BUT I was able to get the stuff that I was going to buy anyway after the EXTRA BUCKS printed on the receipt. I know I have a lot to learn so I can’t wait for all the upcoming lessons.

Hi Saddy –
One of the tricks is to figure out how to “make money” on things you wouldn’t necessarily buy and then use the money to buy what you really want. Then just donate whatever you got free that you don’t want!
Yup my newsletter and my coupon class are pretty much the same – the Coupon Class Assignments are delivered on Monday!

Just keep in mind that it’s also possible that you may have to pay tax on the amount BEFORE coupons, as we do here in TN. So getting out the door with only paying a penny is impossible. If I bought $222 worth of groceries, I would have to pay at least $20 in taxes. Still a great deal, though!
There are occasionally good deals out there on healthy foods and such. Don’t think that just because something is a great deal that you have to buy it. Or, do like some extreme couponers, and save what you won’t use for a yard sale or donate it, as was mentioned earlier.
Follow the lessons, do the homework, and eventually you will know which deals are ones that you should snatch up. Happy couponing!

I went to Kmart and bought the glade with coupons and did not get a catalina. Is there certain areas that do this only or why did I not get one????

I went to Kmart and got the glade and the catalina coupon.. Does that coupon mean I have to buy more glade item or can I use the $3 on anything confused about it because it talks about glade on it.. Thanks!

I can say from first-hand experience that I was VERY skeptical when different people on various blogs said that they could get free, nearly free items, or a lot of items for just pennies. My initial thought was ‘why wasn’t I doing this sooner?’
I have been couponing now for only about seven (7) months and I just now feel like I’ve really gotten the hang of it. I decided to go on my first really big coupon shopping spree. So, off I went to KMart . . . long story short the cashier hit the total button and it was $257.07. I then handed her my HUGE stack of coupons and I walked out of the store with an over-flowing cart and an out-of-pocket amount of only $19.52! WHOOP! WHOOP!
It DOES WORK and I am completely sold! I can’t wait to hunt down my next bargains.

I went to KMart and got the 2 candles, used the $3 coupon and got the $3 catalina. I had to pay $3 for the candles plus tax so guess different areas have different prices although its a nation-wide store. I was wondering how one can find out all of the items that prints out a catalina. Is there a list of them somewhere? The cashier and a manager had no idea which items would print a catalina. Thanks!
