Help for Haiti

help for haiti Help for Haiti

Haiti has long been described as a “country without a net” – a place where there is no infrastructure in place to respond to massive tragedy. Haiti is one of the poorest countries in the Western hemisphere, and Haiti needs your help now more than ever.

Following Crystal’s lead, I’m encouraging all readers to donate anything you can to the efforts to rebuild a country in turmoil.

Here are three ways you can help:

  1. Leave a link below stating what you have done to help Haiti. I will donate $5 for each link below to Partners in Health, an organization I long admire that has consistently done incredible work in the country led by the more-than-capable hands of Paul Farmer.
  2. Donate personally to Partners in Health or another stellar organization.
  3. Be informed of the latest Haiti news here and here and continue to send well wishes and pray for those in need.

Leave your link below to share what you are doing:

All morning I’ve commented, blogged and clicked whenever and wherever I can to help with donations for Haiti. I wish there were more I could do but I am grateful I can use my time to help in any way I can even if my finances are impossibly tight in the wake of my recent lay off. Thank you!

Our family is sending up prayers to the One who can do the most!!
Our church also took and sent contributions in.
My heart breaks especially for the little ones affected. We truly are blessed and I am thankful that we are able to bless others in return!

I donated 50 swagbucks to their relief fund and will send a small check shortly. Trying to figure out to which charity… Doctors without Borders and Habitat for Humanity would probably both be good. Not sure.

Just yesterday, I packed up the 10 bags of clothes that I cleaned out of my closet. I took them to my moms house where she had 4 large boxes of cangoods packed up to donate. I loaded all of this into her car where she took them today to a donation center (just for Haiti relief)
