This was my first time using EBCs because I am taking the couponing class. I thought this was a more appropriate place to post my recent success at CVS. Below are the details of my shopping trip today.
1st transaction: I purchased the depends variety pack you listed here under the 5 dollar challenge. I didn’t realize the sale was only for women’s variety, or either my store just doesn’t carry the men’s. I had a coupon of a larger value for 3/1 that I received in the mail with a sample pack. I purchased the depends, used my coupon, paid 4.88 OFP and got back 7.99 in EBCs.
I couldn’t find the correct Venus razor to receive the EBCs with my coupon so I skipped that.
2nd Transaction: Purchased two nivea lip care, with a B1G1 coupon from my May all you mag, I purchased the colgate total – my printer isn’t functioning properly so I didn’t receive that discount, also there was no colgate coupon in my May All You issue so I missed that discount as well. I grabbed a Nivea body wash and used a 4 dollar off coupon from the Sunday SS. And finally I grabbed a .99 cents bag of Sunchips to account for any EBCs left.
I paid with the 7.99 EBC from the first transaction and had to pay $1.86 OFP to cover taxes and my .88 cents of overage. Plus I earned two more EBCs and $10.86 towards the five EBCs when you purchase $15 dollars of Nivea this week.
In total I used $9.99 worth of coupons, $7.99 in EBCs and paid $6.34 OFP so I got $24.32 worth of products for $6.34 plus $2 EBCs that’s $4.34 for all 6 items, a $20 dollar savings or .72 cents per item. Crazy! I feel pretty awesome right now. And I am going back tomorrow to finish off my Nivea rewards! (:

You did great!! I’m going to highlight you later this week as I absolutely love hearing the exact transactions that people are able to do and exactly how much they save!

  3. Hillery says:

Sorry I need to correct that I earned $6.99 EBCs from the Depends and not $7.99 sorry about that everything else is correct!
And thank you Clair I am very excited about today and my money saving future! There is a CVS just around the corner from me and I believe I’ve just become a regular shopper!
